In July 2001 Dr. Kanne changed from the position as director of the BHF-Bank
in the Westfalenbank. There, as a member of the extended Executive Management
he was to build up the Corporate Finance business with the focus on the M&A
(Mergers & Acquisitions). During the temporary takeover of the Westfalenbank
by the Falke Bank AG Dr. Kanne in January 2003 transferred to the Corporate
Finance Team of the new parent company. Before 2001 he had been director
of Corporate Finance / M&A of the IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG for nine
years and before that he worked as project manager with InterFinanz, Düsseldorf,
responsible for arranging the sale of whole businesses and stakes in companies.
With VEBA he had been the assistant of VEBA Oel´s Chief Executive Officer
after three years as Team Assistant at the Faculty of Economics at the University
of Kabul, Afghanistan, where among other issues he had researched into “Investment
Financing” in developing countries.
